About Me

     Courtney brings over a decade of dedicated service and leadership in the field of emergency medicine, having worked in a variety of frontline and instructional roles. Her career began as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), where she served in local emergency departments, providing critical patient care in high-pressure environments. She went on to work as a 911 dispatcher for the Phoenix Fire Department, mastering the art of rapid decision-making and crisis communication to coordinate lifesaving responses.

     For more than eight years, Courtney has shared her expertise as an EMS educator, training and mentoring future emergency medical professionals. She has developed a reputation for combining technical excellence with a student-centered approach, fostering both competence and confidence in those she teaches. Her well-rounded experience allows her to connect classroom learning with real-world application, enriching the educational experience for her students.

     Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Arizona State University and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Community Health Education. Her academic background, paired with her extensive field experience, equips her with both the theoretical knowledge and practical insight necessary to advance EMS education and promote community health initiatives.

     Beyond her professional life, Courtney is a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband have been married for five years and are the proud parents of two energetic sons, soon to be four and two years old. Her ability to balance a thriving career with family life reflects her commitment, resilience, and passion for helping others—qualities that continue to inspire her students and colleagues alike.
